Capturing Kids' Hearts

Capturing Kids' Hearts is a program that believes teachers must connect with a student’s heart before they can teach their mind. We use tools like the EXCEL model and Social Contracts to build a school full of trust and respect. By focusing on these strong relationships, we make sure every student feels safe, important, and ready to do their best in class. We are excited to share that Northside was again named a National Showcase School this year! This award recognizes the hard work our students and staff put in during the 2025-26 school year to make our campus a kind, welcoming place. We are so proud of how everyone works together every day to make our school better for everyone.

Water Bottles

Students are allowed to bring a water bottle with water to school that has a screw-top lid that can be secured and closed tightly to prevent spills and damage. We also ask that the bottles be transparent. Please keep drinking containers with a straw, a squeeze-top spout, or a sliding drinking closure at home.

Northside has drinking fountains available so students can stay hydrated throughout the day without a water bottle. We appreciate your help with this matter.
